EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR ICIC/IDUAI 2026 EXTENDED TO 31 AUGUST 2026
The Organizing Committee of the 17th International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC) and the UNESCO Global Conference commemorating the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) 2026 wishes to inform all prospective participants, registered delegates, speakers, partners, and stakeholders that the Early Bird Registration deadline has been extended from 31 July 2026 to 31 August 2026.
This extension is intended to provide additional time for participants from across the world to complete their registration and take advantage of the Early Bird registration benefits already announced by the Organizing Committee.
All previously communicated benefits and conditions associated with the Early Bird registration remain unchanged.
The ICIC/IDUAI 2026 Conference will bring together Information Commissioners, policymakers, transparency advocates, civil society organizations, academics, media practitioners, and development partners from around the world to discuss critical issues relating to access to information, transparency, accountability, and information integrity in the digital age.
Participants are encouraged to save the date and make the necessary travel and accommodation arrangements for this landmark global gathering in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The Organizing Committee also wishes to remind all delegates that, as earlier announced, the Government of Sierra Leone has indefinitely suspended the collection of the USD 25 Airport Fee, and conference participants arriving in Sierra Leone will not be required to pay this fee until further notice.
The Committee remains committed to ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all delegates and will continue to provide timely updates regarding the conference and related travel arrangements.
