ICIC-IDUAI 2026 CONFERENCE SAVE THE DATES

On behalf of the ICIC Secretariat, we are pleased to inform you that the XVII Edition of the International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC) will take place from 28 to 30 September, 2026 in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
This year, the ICIC conference will be held as a back-to-back event on the theme: “Upholding Information Integrity in the Digital Age: The Role of Access to Information in Addressing Information Disorder” along with the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI).
Please mark your calendars for the following key dates:
- Monday 28 September – IDUAI Day (to be kickstarted by a joint ICIC-IDUAI opening ceremony followed by open plenary and parallel sessions)
- Tuesday 29 September – ICIC Open Session (plenary and parallel sessions)
- Wednesday 30 September – ICIC Closed Session (ICIC administrative meetings simultaneously with CS0/NGO Access to Information Coalition half day coordinated by Toby Mendel of Centre for Law and Democracy (CLD) Canada
The ICIC-IDUAI will be hosted by the Sierra Leone Right to Access Information Commission in collaboration with UNESCO. Further details regarding the programme, registration, and logistical arrangements will be shared in due course.
