NOTICE TO ALL ICIC/IDUAI 2026 CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS
Temporary Suspension of the USD 25 Airport Fee
The Organizing Committee of the 17th International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC) and the UNESCO Global Conference commemorating the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) 2026 wishes to inform all registered participants and prospective delegates that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Sierra Leone has indefinitely suspended the collection of the USD 25 Airport Fee.
According to the Ministry, the temporary suspension is intended to facilitate the completion of an ongoing independent audit being conducted by the Audit Service Sierra Leone.
Consequently, conference participants arriving in Sierra Leone will not be required to pay the USD 25 Airport Fee until further notice.
The Organizing Committee will continue to monitor the situation and will promptly communicate any updates should the Government announce changes to this arrangement.
